Job Description
We’re Hiring: Level 1 Commercial HVAC Technician – Start Carrying Your Weight
Location: Norristown, PA (Field-Based Role) | Pay Range: $22–$26/hour | Full-Time
Company Overview:
At Commercial Kitchen Ventilation, we keep kitchens breathing and businesses running — no matter how tough the conditions. We’re not a big mechanical contractor chasing easy installs. We’re a small, fast team that specializes in tough service, dirty work, and critical fixes.
Every day is a chance to prove yourself. Every job is a reflection of who we are. If you’re serious about growing in the field — not just floating through it — this is where you belong.
Position Summary:
We’re hiring a Level 1 Commercial HVAC Technician. You’ve got 1–2 years in the trade and a handle on the basics — but you’re ready for more. You’ll help diagnose and repair kitchen hoods, duct systems, fans, and rooftop gear. You’ll get real exposure to troubleshooting airflow issues, electrical problems, and basic mechanical breakdowns.
We’re not looking for techs who just swap parts. We’re looking for people who figure out the real problem — and fix it.
What You’ll Do:
Run basic service calls with support and coaching when needed
Inspect, diagnose, and repair hood systems, fans, ducts, and related rooftop equipment
Work in high, tight, hot, cold, and wet conditions — without complaint
Troubleshoot airflow, electrical, and mechanical issues
Maintain clean work habits and professional communication on every jobsite
Keep your tools sharp, your truck clean, and your attitude sharper
What You’ll Bring:
1–2 years of commercial HVAC or mechanical service experience
Strong mechanical sense and growing troubleshooting skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
EPA 608 Universal Certification is a plus — not required
Grit, hustle, and no fear of working under pressure
Commitment to learning and executing at a high standard
Pay & Benefits:
$22–$26/hour based on experience, skillset, and accountability
Health Insurance + Retirement Plan
Paid Holidays + PTO
Structured growth path toward Level 2 and beyond
Small team, direct communication, real responsibility
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
You’ll work in crawlspaces, mechanical rooms, rooftops (including steep pitches), basements, lifts, and boom trucks. Expect to lift 50+ lbs, work in extreme weather, climb ladders, and stay moving all day.
Step In, Show Up, Level Up
If you’re ready to leave the junior league behind and start carrying your weight like a pro — apply now.
If you’re still dragging your feet or dodging the hard calls — don’t waste your time or ours.
Commercial Kitchen Ventilation is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We hire people who move fast, work smart, and back up what they say — period.
