Job Description

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Mammography Technologist - RT (R)for the Gary C Werths Bldg (GCW) in the Siteman Cancer Center (SCC) at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

 $5,000 Sign on Bonus for eligible candidates!!!

Position Details:

• Day Shift Hours: 5 days per week at 8 hour rotating shifts which could be (7am-3:30pm), (7:15am-3:45pm), or (8am-4:30pm) with two Saturdays a year - All staff rotates between these shifts & breast centers
• Location: Rotates between Siteman Cancer Center in the GCW Building & Center for Advanced medicine Building with the option to also rotate to our South County, Highlands Screening Center , or the Mammography Van
• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms, with the ability to learn additional responsibilities of Localizations, and stereotactic and Contrast Enhanced (CEM) biopsies.
• RT (M) Certification – preferred but not required
• Willing to Train for Mammography (M)!!!
• Mammography Technologist, Mammographer, Mammo Tech

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency 
• R.T. (R) registry

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
